Welcome to my professional portfolio! This portfolio was created as a class assignment to present all my accomplishments of my college career.
Being a Teacher is my dream job. Ever since kindergarten I have wanted to be a teacher. I remember looking at my kindergarten teacher thinking “I want to be her!”. I would then go home ad play school with my little sister. I would make her practice her writing on the back of our bedroom door with chalk, then I would read her a Bernstein Bear Book. Since then my feeling of being a teacher has not changed. I still look up to teachers as a role model. I have been working with kids since 2008 and my calling to be a teacher has not changed. I started my education at Catawba Valley Community College in 2009 graduating in 2012. Then to further my dream I joined a cohort with Appalachian State University in Fall 2012. When I graduate from Appalachian in summer 2016 I will have a bachelor in Elementary Education.
